Quick answer

Expect the mission plan to change after launch

The Void is an Illuminate-controlled region introduced with Devoid of Liberty. Enter through the Gateway, expect a shifting mission structure, and prepare for randomized primary objectives, tactical-camera tasks, alternate extraction points, and the possibility of SEAF support.

Official structure

Six facts that define a Void operation

These mechanics are documented in official Devoid of Liberty coverage. Whether each one appears depends on the mission and active planetary state.

01

The Gateway

The Gateway is the route into the Void. Treat it as the staging point for a campaign whose exact objective mix can change between missions.

02

Source planet: Seasse

Official launch coverage identifies Seasse as the origin of the anomaly. That is narrative context, not a promise that every live Galactic War state will remain unchanged.

03

Randomized objectives

Void missions can assemble primary objectives differently, so leave room for objective utility instead of building for one fixed script.

04

Tactical video camera

One official example asks the squad to operate a tactical camera. Assign the interaction while the rest of the team protects lanes and tracks pressure.

05

Secondary extraction zones

Secondary extraction zones can appear inside the Void. Check the mission map rather than assuming the familiar extraction pattern.

06

SEAF support

Friendly SEAF squads may provide weapons, stims, and combat assistance when the relevant planetary modifier is active. Do not treat that support as guaranteed on every drop.

Before launch

Prepare for variability, not one scripted route

Keep one mobile slot

Void objectives can pull the squad across unfamiliar terrain. A mobility or survival option helps when the route changes.

Cover sustained and evasive threats

Crusher regeneration rewards continuous damage, while Wretch movement rewards fast tracking and focused aim.

Protect the interaction

When a task occupies one player, the other three should establish safe lanes instead of stacking on the terminal or camera.

Check current issues

Illuminate clipping and objective-state problems remain possible in the official issue list; review it before diagnosing a failed objective as player error.

Troubleshooting

When the objective behaves incorrectly

The current official issue list includes Illuminate clipping and mission-state problems. If progress becomes impossible, capture the objective name, platform, and what happened before restarting; then compare it with the live issue list.
